GamerEmpire is an indie-first gaming publication that covers the games publishers don't want you to play and calls out the ones they shouldn't have shipped.
No PR relationships. No review copies. No deference to publishers. Every game reviewed here was paid for out of pocket.
The site covers four things: indie reviews and recommendations (at least 50% horror), AAA accountability, genre guides and rankings, and industry analysis on why the games industry is broken and what the indie scene is doing about it.

The voice is direct and occasionally angry when anger is warranted. The reader is someone who has been gaming long enough to be tired of being marketed at.
